This text is a depiction of one of the services performed by priest in the Holy Temple twice each day, in the morning and in the afternoon. The sacred mixture was offered on the Golden Incense Altar, also known as the Inner Altar. The prescribed recitation of this ceremony in our daily prayers, which includes the name and amount of each spice, is considered a "segulah", or good omen, for numerous benefits, including an adequate livelihood. (The preferred practice for benefiting from this "segulah" is to read the text from a parchment written by an ordained scribe fo holy writ.) This work is created on parchment and is adorned with depictions of the holy altar.
